Cheap Apple Pencil 1 deals
The first-generation Apple Pencil was released alongside the first iPad Pro in 2015. Since that means it's now getting on a bit, it's cheaper than the newer Apple Pencil 2 and tends to see more discounts. The device is compatible with the iPad right up to the 9th generation, iPad Pro 1st and 2nd generation and iPad Air 3rd generation).

The newer Apple Pencil 2 makes a number of improvements to the stylus, with a sleek new design and magnetic charging. As the newer of the two devices, it doesn't come in for reductions as often as its older sibling, and savings are likely to be around $10 / £10. You'll need an iPad Pro, iPad Air 4th generation, or iPad mini 6th generation.
What devices do Apple Pencils work on?
Apple Pencil has two styluses: the Apple Pencil 1 and Apple Pencil 2 (no, they weren't too imaginative with the names, but that helps keep things simple). The first generation Pencil was released in November 2015 and is compatible with iPad Air (3rd generation); iPad mini (5th generation); iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation); iPad Pro 10.5-inch; iPad Pro 9.7-inch; and iPad (6th and 7th and 8th generation – including the 10.2-inch model).
The second generation Apple Pencil was released in November 2018 and is compatible with the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and later and the iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation) and later, as well as the newer iPad Air (4th generation) and the iPad mini (6th generation).

How much is an Apple Pencil?
The Apple Pencil 1 from the Apple shop will set you back $99/£89, and the Apple Pencil 2 $129/£119. The first generation device comes with an extra tip and a Lightning adapter in the box. It's rare to see very big discounts on either device but retailers such as Amazon and Walmart regularly knock $10/£10 off the Apple Pencil 1 and occasionally off the Apple Pencil 2, and sometimes slightly more during special sales events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Apple itself is unlikely to offer discounts.
