Next, Disney is finally giving us a Big Hero 6 series! Check out the trailer for Baymax, set to premiere next summer.
First trailer of Disney Plus Day is for The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, The next installment in Ice Age franchise. The prehistoric adventure ventures into the Lost World, a place filled with new creatures and dangers.
And here we go! Jungle Cruise stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt welcome fans to Disney Plus Day (and get a bit competitive about who was asked to kick off the festivities).
And who better to kick off the #DisneyPlusDay adventure *together* than Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) and Emily Blunt?! pic.twitter.com/304BmMasYmNovember 12, 2021
As we approach 9 a.m. ET, when the Disney Plus Day festivities kick into high gear, let's talk about the top five things we hope to see drop throughout the day:
Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser: This leaked online yesterday, so it's safe to say we'll see it at some point. No footage, but it features concept art and plot details. And Ewan McGregor teases another lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader!
Ms. Marvel trailer: Marvel already released a teaser about the next series on deck after Hawkeye, but we'd like to get a fuller picture of what to expect from Kamala Khan's adventures.
Star Wars: Andor teaser: Earlier this week, Disney's CFO confirmed that Ms. Marvel and the prequel Andor will be released in the July-September 2022 timeframe. Fans have already glimpsed some of the action in a sizzle reel unveiled last December. Seems about time to see something new!
The Mandalorian season 3 sneak peek: The OG Disney Plus series is filming now, so we shouldn't expect much. But a sizzle reel or behind-the-scenes featurette would be very welcome.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser: The next MCU movie after the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2's release date was pushed back to May 6. Still, six-ish months out seems about right for the first teaser trailer.
The U.S. is waking up now and Disney Plus' Twitter has sprung into life. There's nothing in the tweet below we didn't already know, but it confirms that there'll be Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars news.
We couldn’t sleep last night for obvious reasons. TODAY = #DISNEYPLUSDAY 🎈🥳🎁🌟💙 Get ready for exciting announcements and exclusive premieres from @Disney, @Pixar, @Marvel, @StarWars, @NatGeo, and more. pic.twitter.com/jVOUfELU4uNovember 12, 2021
Concept art for the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi series has popped up online, along with a leaked behind the scenes video that has already been purged from the likes of YouTube. Here's hoping that this means Disney will officially release that video as part of its Disney Plus Day celebrations, because this art is getting us seriously hyped.

A now deleted tweet from Disney Plus's UK Twitter account promises great things for Disney Plus Day, including some "exciting announcements". What could those announcements be exactly? We're still hoping for some news about the upcoming Marvel and Star Wars series, and maybe a trailer or two.
Sadly the video that was tweeted out was little more than a sizzle reel, and didn't reveal any of the secrets yet to come.
Disney has been pulling out all the stops to get people excited for Disney Plus Day, which is why they sent us this nifty pin of everyone's favorite alligator anti-hero. I wonder if there are any other variants out there?
Don't forget, Disney Plus is currently offering a month's subscription for just $1.99 (or £1.99 in the U.K.), and Disney is very keen to emphasize that fact. It even put together a handy little infographic showing us some of the new content you can watch when you sign up.
Of course there's more to Disney Plus than Disney and Marvel. The House of Mouse also owns National Geographic, the makers of the whimsical documentary series 'The World According to Jeff Goldblum'. Season 2 landed this morning, and it's so delightful you can't afford to miss it.
What else? Well we already knew about The Simpsons in Plusaversary, a new short in which, according to the press release, “'The Simpsons' host a Disney+ Day party and everyone is on the list… except Homer. With friends from across the service and music fit for a Disney princess, Plusaversary is Springfield’s event of the year." We've not watched it yet ourselves, but we'll be doing so later.
Another family favorite will be Olaf Presents, an all-new original series of shorts featuring Frozen’s beloved snowman. There are five in total, each one running 4 minutes long and we suspect kids will be glued to them this holiday season.
And there's more. Plenty more in fact. For instance, you also get Home Sweet Home Alone, a Disney Plus Original movie that reimagines the popular holiday franchise. That's available on the service now and we suspect plenty of families will watch it this weekend.
So what else has been added to the service in celebration of Disney Plus Day? Well, another massive new release is Jungle Cruise, a fantasy adventure film based on the theme park attraction and starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Check out the official trailer below or just head on to Disney Plus now and start watching.
And, as expected, Disney just added a whole bunch of content as we hit 8 a.m. GMT. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is one of the new additions. You can watch it now, in either a widescreen or IMAX Enhanced version, which brings with it an expanded aspect ratio.
The first thing we're excited for is the expected arrival of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on Disney Plus.
This will be a big deal for anyone who didn't get to see Shang-Chi in theaters. The movie, starring Simu Liu as the MCU's first Asian superhero, was a massive hit when it came out on the big screen in September. In fact, TG writer Rory Mellon said Shang-Chi reignited his passion for the MCU.
Welcome to our Disney Plus Day live blog. We'll be updating this page regularly with all the news as it happens, so check back to see what's been announced.
